We had a great international lunch recently – our 3rd edition. Some amazing and colourful dishes. Stephen bribed Nicky into one last honey cake with some fresh honey. Attached photos etc. Thanks to Lara S and visiting student Lara K for organising.

Lara is off to Boston for a few months on a Ragon fellowship. Mai is off on maternity leave – we wish her all the best.

Yee-Chen recently completed her PhD oration (poster can be found here) and we celebrated the milestone with a Hot Pot dinner. We’ve completed our monoclonal antibody trial and we thanked many of the people involved with a memento of the trial – see photo. More exciting embargoed news on grants/fellowships for Marios and Adam – more to follow! Stephen helped the Doherty runners with their push up challenge recently to raise money for mental health awareness – see photo.

We have new additions to our lab. Bec and Will join us as Post-Docs working with Jen and Adam respectively, while Stella started her PhD in Adam’s group – see our staff page for updates.

Also, another new addition is Piper the Groodle support dog (see photo and staff page). She comes to visit from time to time and try to give good vibes to our busy staff and students. She likes a pat and scratch behind the ears, chasing balls and checking out if there is anything interesting in the rubbish bins.
